"Annoying but charming."

this makes me want to change my name to Addy.

Boxxy is almost as obnoxious as I am, but she looks better!

Didnt particularly like the way the guys were drawn or the style, BUT GODDAMN! I laughed my ass off when the father character started flipping out. Really great content, especially for the newgrounds demographic. Great Job,

"In Newgrounds tradition..."

Violent teen angst.
pretty funny dub.
The main antagonist's voice gets annoying though.

That intro looked familiar. ;'P

Author's Response:

I knew I would find that intro to come in handy one day. I cant remember which other flash I used it in though

Cartoon Bball in Reallife

"needs work. learn flash with a book, dude."

date: July 17, 2006

Okay. so, good ways to improve your cartoon would be to cut holes in the ball durring certain frames with the eraser tool, when you are walking in front of it, and for your fingers and stuff, so it looks as though its more of a part of the scene.

Also, you might consider a duller orange for the ball to blend in with your bland video.

Most importantly, Change the size of the flash document to fit the constrains of the video. If your video is only 300 pixels wide, use the properties inspector at the bottum of the page to change the document from its default 550pixels wide size, so you wont have that obnoxious border and so you could fit a better video quality movie in there instead.

a few sound effects would go a long way

"Improvements Galore! Especialy the Voice Acting!"

date: June 30, 2006

The voice acting was a great step in the right direction.
It makes this one entertaining, where the previous monologing was too quiet requireing a bit too much effort reading to be entertaining. This one really will suck in more of a following, so i recomend you go back and polish up the old ones with this great voice acting

Author's Response:

I would, except there's one problem: SOMEONE deleted both those fla files, so I'm afraid we're all stuck with 'em.

"REEL BIG FISH makes for a REAL SWEET SOUNDTRACK"

submission: Hapless
date: June 23, 2006

This was a pretty sweet music video to an old favorite. I liked the composition and transitions that went to the horns. I like how you through in a few timeless gimicks like the ladder in the hole, as well as the door chase scene. My only advice is add a few more frame by frame elements and a little less generic tweening. Regardless, this is one of the best toon's ive seen this morning. You've got my vote. Good luck.

Homestar in College

"Mixed feelings."

date: December 9, 2005

Well, Jenny, for what little practice you claim to have you did quite well for yourself. However, I Highly recomend against using other peoples charachters in your work. You'd probabaly have something to be much more proud of if you worked on a concept of your own, so that you could really be passionate about the charachters and the views you express through them. This works as good practice though, so keep working at it.

The audio was clear, and recorded well, and the music did not clash with any voice tracks. Kudos on that. However, next time you need voice actors i recommend you ask some of the guys in the various voice acting threads on the NewgroundsBBS. Save your own pretty voice for the female roles.

Author's Response:

Thank you very much for your helpful review. I realize using other people's characters is not good at all, but I was juggling some tough classes this semester and didn't have time to be very original. I also wasn't sure how good it would turn out, so I didn't want to put too much thought into it. Anyway, it was still a lot of work and I am glad it wasn't a total waste. I won't disappoint you on the next (ORIGINAL) animation, guys!

"good Frame by Frame."

submission: Pl4gued Demoreel
date: September 2, 2005

Keep it up and you'll go far, especialy if you phase out the stick figures.

little advice though, you should never 'lose everything' in a reformat. You should only have your programs and temp files on your C drive, everything else should be stored externaly. 80gigabyte externals are can be found for less than 40 bucks on sale these days. Thats a like a dollar for every 2 gigabytes. I bought a 120 gig external for only 75 in July, so it can be done. The hardware is available to you, use it to keep your portfolio intact.
